How we help
Bringing Hope. Raising Awareness. Saving Lives.
At The Szedi Roush Foundation, we believe every young person deserves to know they are loved, valued, and never alone.
Founded in memory of Szedi Roush, our mission is to bring hope to struggling youth, support families, raise awareness about youth suicide, and help communities recognize the challenges facing today's generation.
Through faith, education, advocacy, and outreach, we are committed to turning tragedy into purpose and helping others find hope in their darkest moments. #lovemore
Youth Mental Health Awareness
Many young people suffer silently with anxiety, depression, loneliness, and emotional pain. We work to increase awareness and encourage open conversations about mental health.
How we help:
-
Sharing educational resources for youth and families
-
Promoting early intervention and support
-
Encouraging healthy conversations about mental health
-
Helping communities recognize warning signs and risk factors
-
Connecting individuals with trusted support resources
Social Media & Digital Safety Education
As technology becomes a larger part of our children's lives, many parents feel overwhelmed trying to understand the online world their children navigate every day.
How we help:
-
Educating parents about social media trends and risks
-
Raising awareness about hidden and secondary accounts
-
Encouraging healthy digital habits and online boundaries
-
Providing tools for families to have meaningful conversations about online experiences
-
Promoting responsible and safe use of technology
-
Our goal is not to create fear, but to equip families with knowledge and confidence.
Supporting Families Through Grief and Crisis
No family should have to walk through tragedy alone.
We strive to provide comfort, encouragement, and connection for families facing grief, loss, mental health challenges, or crisis situations.
We help by:
-
Sharing resources for grieving families
-
Creating opportunities for connection and support
-
Providing encouragement through faith and community
-
Helping families find local and national support services
-
Offering a message of hope for those facing difficult circumstances
Community Outreach
Real change happens when communities come together.
We work alongside schools, churches, community organizations, and local leaders to raise awareness and create environments where young people feel seen, heard, and supported.
Our outreach efforts may include:
-
Community awareness events
-
School presentations
-
Church partnerships
-
Parent workshops
-
Youth-focused programs
-
Public speaking engagements
Faith and Hope
At the heart of our mission is the belief that every life has value and purpose.
Our faith reminds us that even in our deepest pain, God remains close to the brokenhearted. Through His love, we find strength to continue, courage to serve others, and hope for the future.
We seek to be a source of encouragement and compassion for anyone who is hurting and to remind every young person that their life matters.

Our promise
We cannot change the tragedy that brought us here.
But we can honor Szedi's life by helping others find hope, connection, and support.
Together, we can shine light into darkness, strengthen families, and remind every child that they are loved, valued, and never alone.
